-

it started here ... i saw the sign, thought of the pun and drew a fly onto a postage label ...
i had to stretch to reach it ... -

then i spotted another sign just opposite ...
-

i had to jump to stick the fly to it ...
and then a few more times to stick it flat ... -

i began spotting signs all around the community ...
-

although some of them didn't last long ...
-

the local council help me spread my pun ...
i take them up whenever i spot an opportunity ... -

i soon found other opportunities for a visual pun ...
but began to notice the rubbish everywhere ... -

i visited berlin and began to interact with the art scene ...
-

there were lots of opportunities to express myself ...
-

so when i returned home i got a bit artistic ...
-

the local butcher's bins smelt something rotten ...
so i applied my fly stickers all over them ... -

the stickers fell off, so i cut out a stencil ...
and the flies loved it ... -

so i plastered them all over the smelly bins ...
-

i developed a second stencil and applied it where i saw fit ...
-

... a sunny rock looked like a good spot ...
-

... and especially over those smelly bins ...
-

meanwhile, my no fly tipping stickers were making an impression ...
-

i saw an opportunity to spread my wings ...
-

someone told me that spraying graffiti on a dumped object is not illegal ...
it didn't take me long to find something ... -

around the corner there was another fridge ...
i thought 'this is easy, everybody's dumping things on the street just for me' ... -

someone noticed and ripped the doors off it ...
presumably saatchi and saatchi ... -

i went big on a bit of wasteland ...
i liked the near/far perspective from the road ... -

a site due for demolition gave me a chance to practise shinning up a ladder ...
-

this was a true gift ...
-

i started to organise my flies ...
-

i might have carted this away myself, if i could ...
still, i like the idea of displaying my message in the public arena ... -

i couldn't believe anyone could provide such a rich canvas in the centre of st werburghs ...
it kept me busy for ages ... -

the people who fly poster display no appreciation of art and take any opportunity to plaster the community ...
-

i thought i'd improve the site with some fly posters of my own ...
-

the opportunity arose to get more artistic with a site-specific installation at the closed chocolate factory ...
-

the project allowed for specific choco pun fun ...
-

a mattress became my canvas ...
-

it feels good to mark your territory ...
this is a nice sunny spot on a local route i pass regularly ... -

the fridges kept getting dumped on the streets ...
i was getting into my job ... -

i thought i'd attract attention to recycling opportunities ...
-

the chance to subvertise was too much ...
this ad was a gift ... -

fly tipping is not the only problem in our neighbourhood ...
-

fly posters offer lots of opportunities to paste my art in place of advertising ...
-

the m32 cuts right through easton, producing areas devoid of life ...
so i added some life to it ... -

the council put up more and more no fly tipping signs ...
-

rubbish is attracted to these signs like flies to ...
-

motorboy provided me with a chance to double up on the fun ...
-

i think fly posting sites offer more than just an opportunity for words ...
i like the idea of communicating through the image ... -

this is a true fly poster ...
-

and this is true fly posting ...
-

it gets treated just like all the others ...
it is transient ... -

just because we have nothing for sale doesn't mean we have nothing to advertise ...
-

some people have no respect for art ...
-

i have fly posters of my own ...
-

together we develop the game of hoarding chess ...
-

it starts to get really interesting ...
-

and then the big boys come and ruin it all ...
-
